I remember it was 1983 and I was 14 years old, We Just moved to a beach town called Myrtle Beach. It was a gated community that basically was double wide mobile homes on Stilts. Most of the people that lived there were either retired or was in the Air Force. The Base was right next to the Community. I didn”t mind it too much, Because I was the type that kept to myself and I knew I was different, I knew I was transgender, But in the 80s it wasn”t accepted like now. I have 3 sisters and every chance I could sneak some of their clothes , panties or bras to wear, excited me.The only problem was finding a place where I wear them. Well I never thought this was the year that things would change for me and most would not believe me how it happened. It all started when I met Robert, He worked at the Air Base and on the weekends he did landscaping for people who lived in our community. I was riding my ten speed bicycle home from school one day and I was not paying attention. He was pulling a utility
trailer with a golf cart and I almost ran into him, Which made me lose control and go into a ditch. I scraped my knee and did start to tear up. At 14 I was kinda wimpy, chubby and short. 5″3 and had more of a girly shape. My hair was long but I always kept it in a ponytail. Well He stopped and ran over to make sure I was ok, and at that moment when he grabbed my hand, and I looked up at him.I knew I was in love with this Mid 30″s Black Man. He was about 6″1 and had muscles in all the right places, He reminded me of Billy Dee Williams from Star Wars. He pulled me up and asked me if I was ok and I just could not stop staring at him. After a minute of that I came back to reality and told him, Yes Sir, I”m ok and got nervous, grabbed my bike, my face red and said thank you and pedaled home. After that day when I would be riding home from school he would always wave when he seen me. I looked forward to that. It made me feel special. I know it sounds silly, But for some reason I knew we would become more than just a friendly wave.

MONTHS LATER…

One weekend I was riding my bike and I seen him mowing a neighbors yard and he had stopped to drink some water. I waved and this time he waved me over, I got nervous and my stomach starting feeling funny, I was going to just ride away and smile but I decided to go over to him. When I went over to him , This is when he introduced himself as Robert, I put my hand out to shake his and told him I was Jaime. As he grabbed my hand I could feel how rough and manly his was, At the same time he said , It”s very nice to meet you…Again ( as he smiled with a little laugh). Then he said , Wow your hands are so soft for guy.. I totally blushed and pulled away. Oh no , Jaime that”s a good thing. Then He went on to say , I know your getting out of school next week, Just wanted to know if you wanted to earn some extra money, You know, Helping me in the afternoons and weekends? I told him I have never did landscaping work before. Well, I will teach you.. But remember it does get hot outside and it is kinda hard work. Just think about it and let me know.. He smiled at me and I found myslf staring at him again, Helloooo Jaime, I caught myself again.. smiling back at him, I will let you know tomorrow.
Sounds good Jaime. I have to get back home and do some house chores. I couldn”t describe the feeling I was having walking back to my bike. As I rode away I waved again and he stood there drinking his water looking so sexy. OMG I have a decision to make that will change my life.
